Jean Jacques Berne Bellecour (French, 1874 – 1939) “Napoleonic Officer at Crossroads”

Jean Jacques Bern-Bellecour , born on August 14 , 1874 in Saint-Germain-en-Laye and died in 1939, is a French painter. Son and student of Étienne-Prosper Bern-Bellecour , he exhibited at the Salon of French artists , the Salon des Independants and in many cities such as Mulhouse , Lille , Douai and Lyon and is noted for its effects of snow. During the First World War , he became a military painter and received a medal from the Society of French Artists .

His works are preserved in the museums of Mulhouse and San Francisco as well as in many private collection.
