Henriqutta Lucquin Girouard was born in Lisbon, Portugal in 1819. She was a student of Gosse, a French historical painter, and from 1841 to 1865 exhibited an impressive number of portraits and historical subjects at the Paris Salon. She also exhibited several painting at the Grand Palais des Champs-Elysées. A list of her painting can be found in the General Dictionary of Artists of the French School.
Bryan’s Dictionary of Painters and Engravers, Volume 3, by Michael Bryan, lists the painter as Henriquetta Lucquin, with the maiden name Girouard.
