Antonio Zoppi was born in Novara, a city in the Piedmont region in northwest Italy. He was a celebrated artist specializing in genre, costume scenes, portraits and landscapes. He exhibited at the Brera Academy, as well as several other galleries in Rome, Milan and Turin. Zoppi died in Florence in 1926.

In 1881 Zoppi exhibited Paggio del secolo XVII in Milan; that same year he exhibited Fate la carità e In vino laetitia in Rome. Vendemmia was exhibited at the Brera Academy in 1822.

He exhibited several other paintings, including Winter Sun; Dolci ricordi; Il nonno; Adele; Study of a head; A landscaper of Tobacco; and Savoy and Winter Morning.
